We had a great time this past week at Sea Pines on Hilton Head Island. We had 11 adults and 13 children at one point. It was loud, it was crazy, and it was fun.
We had:
BecBec (St. Matthews, SC)
Bill, Michele, Anna Banks and Emma Turberville (St. Matthews, SC)
Kent, Bryce and Lucius Turberville (Trina couldn't come) (Charleston, SC)
Me, Hughes, Banks and Collins (David couldn't come) (Alexandria, VA)
MaeMae and Big Daddy (St. Matthews, SC)
Rebecca, Rick, Adelaide, Amelia and Jacob Shunk (Corte Madera, CA)
Elizabeth, Al, Wimberly, Christian and Hudson Zadig (Charleston, SC)
I had 6 younger (ages 10-15) cousins/nieces who were always available to babysit, play, get snacks, etc. for my boys. It was heaven! BecBec put in plenty of babysitting points at the house when one of the boys didn't want to go to the beach and instead wanted to stay at the pool. It was awesome!
Michele, unfortunately, sprained her ankle right before she got in the car to come to Hilton Head so she spent her week hobbling around.

These next few pictures are from the alligator hunt that Al and Big Daddy organized. What happened? I have no idea because adults were not allowed to go. All I know is that my older boys came back with fist fulls of candy and said they did not catch an alligator.
Beach Time
We spent some great time at the beach. Our house was an easy, quick walk to the beach which was wonderful. We soaked in the sun, dove for sand dollars, had wheelbarrow races, sprint races, frisbee throws, egg toss competition plus lots of laughter.
The sprint competition ended with Bill pulling his hamstring and eating my dust. He claimed he would have won but shoulda, woulda, coulda. I took the victory for the 10+ older sprint. Oh yeah!

This was one of the best vacations and we definitely want to go back to Sea Pines. Next time, David will definitely be with us. We all missed him and wanted him there with us.
