Georgia Aquarium

Here is David in La-La Land.

Whale Shark - largest fish, UPS delivered four whale sharks to the aquarium from China - how's that for cargo?
Banks and his wild hair - I've got to cut his wings!

Sea Anemone
Beluga Whale
Octopus - light sensitive - I found that out after I took the picture - oops!

Banks has a question!

WOW!  The Ga. Aquarium is amazing.  We had so much fun - more fun than the boys.  David was in total heaven and, I think, could have stayed there all day.  Banks slept half of the way through it.  Hughes ran through it.  It is well worth the time and money just make sure to pack your patience because it is packed with people.

While David was in Atlanta for a conference, I went to Birmingham with the boys to visit my college roommate, Kate.  Kate has two boys (Jake and Parker) the same age as my boys.  While I was there another roommate, Callie, came up.  Along with another roommate, Leslie, and her two children(Mac and Ann Ellison).  And, of course, one more friend, Joanna, came up with her son, Prather.  It was a busy and loud day but it was lots of fun.  It was so much fun getting to hang out with everyone again even if it was only for a day.

Potty Training 101

Well, I've jumped into the deep end and there's no turning back - I've started potty training Hughes.  I wish I could say it is so EASY but that would be misleading.  We have good days and a lot of bad days.  The bad days are the times when I miss daycare.

Fourth of July

Going to the start of the parade.
Hughes was really excited to have his bike decorated.  Unfortunately, that excitement lasted about two minutes and then he was ready for all the decor to come off.
Banks is just along for the ride.

We had a great Fourth of July celebration.  We started off the day with going out to Kiawah to enjoy the beach with the Steeds, Murphys, & Chandlers.  After a day spent at the beach nibbling on shrimp salad sandwiches we had to run back home to get ready for the neighborhood parade.  This parade consisted of decorated bikes, wagons, strollers, dogs, etc.  We ended the parade with watermelon and juice boxes at our house.  After everyone left we invited some to stay for a cookout and to enjoy some personal fireworks.

Holman Family Beach Trip - Pawleys Island

Banks enjoying the beach breeze.
Hughes' first mini-golf trip.  He had a blast!

After David and I returned from our 5 year anniversary trip to Bermuda without kids, we were lucky enough to hop in the car and travel to Pawleys Island for another week of vacation.  Mom and Dad kept the boys while we were in Bermuda and brought them back to us in Charleston so that we could hop in the car and zoom to our next destination.   Pawleys was great.  The house we stayed in was beautiful and big  - plenty of room for everybody!  We're looking forward to returning next year.
