Beach Morning with Jacob

We spent Thursday morning at Folly Beach with Olivia's family.  Hughes and Jacob had the best time chasing the kite Mr. Bill was trying to fly, playing in the sand, pretending to ride in the boat, eating snacks, etc.  They had a blast together!

Jacob and Hughes before we hit the beach.  They were having a great time indoors pretending to be chased by monsters.  Hughes has never played that game before but Jacob had no problem coaxing him into it.

Hughes ran his little heart out.  He took a four hour nap when we got home that afternoon - life is good with two exhausted children!

I'm pretty sure Banks discovered his shadow while at the beach.  This must have been his break between eating handfuls of sand.  Honestly, I think the kid ate half of Folly Beach.

You can't see it in this picture but the boys were chasing the tails of a kite that Mr. Bill was trying to fly.  He was having a lot of difficulty so it was flying pretty low.  Just low enough for the boys to be able to catch the tails.

Here are all the boys pretending to ride the boat while grounded in the sand.  They were having a great time just hanging out.  

Things changed when Buck (Olivia's BIL) decided to pull the kayak out in the surf only a few inches deep.  Basically, just enough for the kayak to float.  Hughes quickly jumped out and ran up the beach.  Jacob and Banks decided to be brave and enjoy the thrill.  

This is Banks with his "excited" face on.  He is a very laid back child and just goes with the flow.
